The second Ethiopia-Brazil Business and Investment Promotion Forum has been successfully held on April 8, 2025, in Sรฃo Paulo, bringing together over 100 Brazilian business leaders and government representatives. Organized by the Ethiopian Embassy in Brazil in collaboration with Wafa Marketing, Afrochamber, and local partners, the forum showcased Ethiopiaโ€™s growing appeal as an investment destination.

Ambassador Leulseged Tadesse Abebe underscored Ethiopiaโ€™s economic reform progress and openness to business, highlighting priority sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, energy, ICT, and tourism. He urged Brazilian investors to capitalize on opportunities and emphasized the strategic importance of the Addis-Sรฃo Paulo daily flight in enhancing trade and connectivity.

Reinforcing this message, Ambassador Yohannes Fanta, Director General for Economic Diplomacy at Ethiopiaโ€™s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented investment incentives and invited Brazilian companies to explore the countryโ€™s evolving business landscape.

Brazilian officials, including Ambassador Antonio Cesar and Samo Tosatti of Sรฃo Paulo State, welcomed the deepening ties and committed to facilitating trade delegations and investment flows. Discussions also touched on Ethiopiaโ€™s BRICS membership as a catalyst for broader cooperation.

Panelists from investment firms, city governments, and Ethiopian Airlines shared insights on expanding partnerships, particularly in agriculture and infrastructure. The event concluded with a B2B session that sparked new commercial linkages.

Participants were also invited to the upcoming High-Level Business Forum set for May 12โ€“13, 2025, in Addis Ababa, signaling ongoing efforts to turn diplomatic ties into concrete economic collaboration.
