Tigrag Education bureau holds a conference to develop new curriculum for grades one to eight.
The Tigray Education Bureau is convening a conference aimed at gathering insights and ideas for the development of a new curriculum for students from grade one to eight.
During the conference, the head of the bureau,Kiros gush(D/r) emphasized the necessity of this initiative to ensure the recovery and advancement of the region’s education system.
Dr. Kiros highlighted the need to build a modern curriculum from pre-primary to eighth grade to address the educational disruptions caused by the War on Tigray. “The consulting forum is crucial to gain the understanding needed in the 21st century as there are new changing global situations in the world, in the country, and the region,” he stated.
The impact of the war on Tigray’s educational infrastructure has been severe, with all 2,472 schools in the region suffering damage. Some have been completely destroyed, while others have been partially damaged.
Dr. Kiros stated that the primary focus will be on school recovery, human resources & other important aspects.
