Encouraging Developments in Religious Diplomacy and Educational Opportunities for Tigrayan Students
In an inspiring display of dedication and effective religious diplomacy, His Grace Abune Efream, Bishop of Europe and the United Kingdom, along with members of the Menebere Selama Kesatie Birhan Z Aksum Orthodox Tewahedo Tigrayan Church, have achieved a remarkable milestone. His tireless efforts have resulted in promising new opportunities for Tigrayan students: access to free scholarships in higher education institutions in Ireland. This development brings great excitement and hope to the Tigrayan community, especially for post-genocide Tigrayan students and scholars seeking to rebuild their lives through education.
The fruits of his labor signify more than just educational opportunities; they represent a beacon of hope and a step towards recovery and growth for the Tigrayan community. The scholarships offered by Ireland’s higher education institutions are a testament to the relentless dedication of His Grace Abune Efream and his team, who have worked diligently to ensure that Tigrayan youth have the chance to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals.
We extend our deepest thanks, appreciation, and admiration to His Grace Abune Efream for his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the Tigrayan people. His efforts have not only opened doors for academic advancement but have also strengthened the bonds within the Tigrayan community in Europe and the United Kingdom, especially with the people of Ireland. We would also like to thank the people of Ireland for standing for true humanity during the darkest times of the Tigray genocidal war.
We, the Tigrayan community in Europe and the United Kingdom, stand with our religious father, His Grace Abune Efream. We are immensely proud of his accomplishments and the positive impact his work has had on our community. This achievement is a testament to the power of unity, faith, and perseverance in the face of adversity.
Thank you, and God bless Ireland.
