Q1: Where Were You During the Last Two Years of Security Threats?
For the past two years, the people of Tigray have been living under constant threat, facing daily kidnappings, murders, and sexual violence. The situation has been dire, yet the TDF military leadership has been conspicuously silent or absent.
Where were you when the people you swore to protect were being violated and terrorized?
What concrete actions were taken to safeguard civilians, especially women and children, who have been the most vulnerable targets of these atrocities?
Q2: Why Was There No Action Against Illegal Mining and Exploitation?
Illegal mining activities and the exploitation of Tigray’s natural resources by criminal syndicates have been rampant. Reports indicate that even some security personnel have been complicit in these illegal activities.
Where were you when these criminal activities were taking place unchecked?
Why has there been no visible effort to clamp down on these syndicates, despite their destructive impact on the region’s economy and environment?
Q3: Why Has Illegal Arms Dealing and Contraband Flourished?
Illegal arms dealing and contraband trade have become an open secret in Tigray, contributing to the region’s instability and further empowering criminal elements.
