Mekelle፡Telaviv, Nairobi, Pretoria, London, (Tigray Herald).

DTD condemns in the strongedt terms the illegal action taken by General Tadesse Werede to dismantle and install a puppet administration of the Southern zone of Tigray.

We strongly condemn the recent actions by General Tadesse Werede, President of the Tigray Interim Administration; the
TPLF; and allied armed forces aimed at forcibly changing the legitimate administration of the Southern Zone of Tigray.
The use of military force to impose political will is a grave violation of democratic principles and the rule of law.

Such actions not only trample the autonomy of local institutions but also deepen the suffering of the people, who continue to
bear the heavy cost of prolonged conflict and political instability.

Any attempt to install leadership through coercion, rather than through the free will of the people, is unacceptable.

The residents of the Southern Zone have the right to determine their own administration through peaceful, inclusive, and democratic processes that respect their voice and dignity. We call on all parties, particularly General Tadesse Werede, the TPLF, and those wielding arms under the guise of political authority, to immediately cease these unlawful and destabilizing actions and restore the legitimate administration.

We also urge the international community, civil society, and all stakeholders to the Pretoria Cessation of Hostilities
Agreement and all who are committed to a peaceful, united, and democratic Tigray, to firmly reject and denounce these
aggressive and illegal maneuvers.

The future of Tigray must be shaped by a shared vision, inclusive dialogue, and the genuine participation of its people, not
by brute force or imposed authority. Furthermore, the attempt to change the local administration of Southern Tigray Zone
through force, against the will of its residents, is a dangerous provocation. It risks triggering renewed conflict and poses a serious threat to the territorial integrity of Tigray.

We, the people of Tigray, must stand united in condemning the violent takeover of the Southern Zone’s local administration. Silence in the face of this injustice is complicity.
