Tigray: Interim administration official arrested for undisclosed reasons

Tadele Mengistu, a senior official in Tigray’s IRA & representative of the opposition party Baytona, has been arrested under undisclosed circumstances, according to party officials who spoke to Wegahta.
Authorities have not disclosed the reason for his arrest.

Tadele Mengistu, who served as head of the Road and Transport Bureau, is one of the few officials within the regional administration who has publicly criticized certain elements of the TDF & the hardline factions of the TPLF for crimes in Tigray including illicit mining & others.
