Leaked document from the office of president

An official statement by the office of the President of Tigray Interim Administration confirmed that the about 90 page long document detailing charges of money laundering, abduction, cross-border human trafficking, abuse of power and corruption is a legitimate document.

The document has been leaked and circulating on social media since Friday.

The Office of the President of the Tigray Interim Administration, led by Let. Gen. Tadesse Werede, confirmed on Saturday, May 17, 2025, the authenticity of a leaked 69-page document detailing serious allegations of cross-border human trafficking, money laundering, abduction, abuse of power, and corruption.

The report began circulating on social media on Friday, May 16, 2025, first appearing on the Facebook and Telegram accounts of activist Mezekir Abadi, who is affiliated with the recently ousted interim administration led by Getachew Reda.

That first interim administration was removed in what many describe as an unconventional politico-military coup, in which a faction of the TPLF, led by Debretsion Gebremichael and backed operationally by the Tigray Security Forces, seized government offices and forcibly removed interim officials from power.
