The administration of the Southern Tigray zone rejects the new cabine of Tadese werede.
The administration of the Southern Tigray zone made a statement today about the Tigray region’s present political and security situation. According to the statement, the interim regional administration led by Lieutenant General Tadesse Worede has come to power through a coup engineered by a military clique linked with a TPLF faction led by Debretsion Gebremichael.
Furthermore, the statement stated that the new cabinet formed by the new president is devoid of inclusion and is detrimental to the region’s future democratic and political circumstances as it’s also reversing the achievements gained during the previous administration , thus denying its legitimacy.
The zone’s cabinet, in what it calls “first phase of resistance,” calls on the president of the interim administration to reconsider its decision regarding the newly restructured cabinet, while also calling to all stakeholders to join in the fight for a democratic, unified, and prosperous Tigray.
