Tigray’s IRA President Welcomes British Ambassador to Ethiopia to Discuss Pretoria Peace Agreement Implementation Efforts
President of the Interim Administration in Tigray, Let. Gen. Tadesse Werede welcomed Darren Welch, British Ambassador to Ethiopia, to discuss the evolving situations in Tigray with a focus on the Implementation efforts of Pretoria Peace Agreement.
In their discussion, President Let. Gen Tadesse Werede emphasized that the return of Internally Displaced Persons remains a top priority of the interim administration.
The President assured that the process would be conducted in coordination with Ethiopia’s federal government and in line with the Pretoria Peace Agreement. During the meeting, the President has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the return of IDPs and restoration of Tigray’ Territorial Integrity through exclusively peaceful means.
British Ambassador to Ethiopia, Darren Welch, in turn, affirmed his government’s readiness to provide all the necessary support for efforts aimed at returning the IDPs in Tigray.
The Ambassador also congratulated the President on his leadership and expressed UK’s continued support to strengthen the Interim Administration in Tigray.
