Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed warned his cabinet members not to get involved in the recent incident in the Orthodox Church yesterday evening, January 23, 2015, in his explanation to the cabinet members on “Peace and Religion”.
The Prime Minister’s explanation came from Haro Beale Wold Church, Sodo Dache District, Haro near Woliso, South West Showa, Oromia Region, ten days ago, on January 14, 2015, 26 bishops were appointed without the approval of the Patriarch or the Holy Synod. It was after hearing that the Fathers who accepted were condemned and separated from the Church.
