GSTS condemns the decision by the Bank of Abyssinia to override constitutional demarcations & administer its banks in Western Tigray through the Bahir Dar District. This is a woeful politicisation of banking services undermining peacebuilding efforts & fueling polarization.
We call on @NBEthiopia & the federal government to urgently address this move and ask members of the diplomatic community in Ethiopia to re-examine existing relationships with the Bank.
