Tigray officials lead Moment of Silence in the memory of ‘Tigrayan Martyrs’ at Hawelti Semaetat Mekelle

Tigray held a moment of silence for its veterans who lost their lives fighting against Ethiopian forces, Eritrean forces and Amhara forces during the war on Tigrai.

Gov’t officials lead the Moment of Silence at Hawelti Semaetat, a monument of Tigrayan Martyrs, in the capital Mekelle.

Tigrayans in every corner of the world also held a moment of silence in the memory of the veterans at the same time.

Tigray started its three-day national mourning period today with official announcement of deaths to family members of the veterans.

Other activities including the candlelight vigil ceremony are to take place today.
