Candlelight vigil service held in different towns in Tigray in memory of martyrs of the war
Different towns across Tigray held a candlelight vigil service Saturday evening in the memory of martyrs who lost their lives during the two-year long war on Tigray.
Tigray Interim Administration President Getachew Reda attended the candlelight vigil ceremony in Mekelle Hawelti Seamaetat, where morning processions including the moment of silence and wreath lying ceremony took place.
Tigray has begun its three-day mourning period Saturday morning with official announcement of deaths of the fallen martyrs to their loved ones.
The mourning period will continue until Monday when the final processions will be carried out.
