The toughest was the seed because of the war in Tigray.

We are working swiftly with our partners to scale up climate-smart agriculture (CSA) in our project areas. Our long-term partner, the Development Fund Norway, is presently assisting households affected by the war in Adwa rural and Medebay zana Woredas; therefore, we are extremely implementing the project. As a consequence, the outcome is scaling up to neighboring areas. Gidey, a priest and farmer, cultivates wheat. He is now pleased with his wheat field and has high hopes for the upcoming crop. He is a CSA farmer in the Gendebta Tabia of the May Emana watershed. He acquired the necessary inputs from the REST-DF supported project. The crop’s performance is fantastic, as we observed in the field. “The toughest was the seed because of the war in Tigray. We were able to sow our fields because we were able to receive improved seed from the organizations indicated. I’d like to express my gratitude to REST. At this moment, our wheat is ready for harvest and our production hope is high.” Gidey says: He is in head of seven family members.
