President Getachew Blamed Germany for Failing to Defend ICHREE, Appreciates Support on Agricultural Sector During Delegation Talks
Tigray IRA President Getachew Reda blames the government of Germany for failing to defend ICHREE and acknowledges support on agricultural sector in Tigray during delegation talks at his office this morning.
President Getachew called on the government of Germany to extend all its support to help recovery and rehabilitation programs in the region.
“We need all support in the world. Not only in agriculture but also other areas of recovery and rehabilitation.”, He stressed.
Delegation led by Philip Knill, Director for Eastern, Central and Southern Africa in Germany Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, spoke with President Getachew on different issues including the progress on the implementation of the Pretoria agreement.
We want to “Support you to go ahead actually on the peace process and fully implementing Pretoria agreement, negotiating further open steps not going back to the arms but really building on the good progress that has been done so far.” The Director underscored.
He noted that the delegation come mainly to learn how the government of Germany can support the Ethiopian federal government and the Tigray interim administration.
The delegation from Berlin concluded its talks and went back to Addis Abeba today.
