President Getachew Reda Criticizes TPLF Leadership
Tigray Interim Administration President Getachew Reda accused TPLF leadership of corruption and jeopardizing regional administration efforts. In an interview with Dimits Woyane, Getachew highlighted organized crime, such as mineral theft and human trafficking, exacerbating the region’s crisis. He blamed TPLF leaders for prioritizing personal interests and acknowledged the lack of cooperation among the Interim Administration, security forces, and judiciary.
TPLF Petitions for Legal Status Restoration
The Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) has requested the national electoral board to restore its legal status. In a letter, TPLF emphasized its positive collaboration with the Federal Government since the Pretoria Agreement and its role in establishing an inclusive regional Interim Administration. The revised Political Party’s Registration Bill allows the board to re-register TPLF under “special condition.”
