Mekelle University organized a Project Launching Consultative Workshop for “Specialized Legal Aid and Psychosocial Support” (LA-PSS) in Tigray. This project, focusing on providing specialized free legal aid and psychosocial support services to vulnerable communities, particularly women, girls, youth, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and people with disabilities, addresses critical needs in the region.
The workshop served as a platform to officially introduce and kickstart the project, fostering discussions and collaboration with various stakeholders and implementing partners. The participation of representatives from justice organs, social affairs bureaus, youth and sports bureaus, associations, health bureaus, religious councils, and academic institutions like Mekelle University signifies a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges faced by the target community.
