Feeling The Hit Of The Drought in Tigray
A devastating drought in #Tigray has left a millions of people at risk of death from starvation including childrens.
The #IRA should have declared a national emergency on drought in the wake of the disaster, which has dried up water sources, killed livestock and destroyed food crops across these drought affected areas.
As droughts become more frequent in #Tigray due to climate change, the poorest and most food insecure areas are being hit hardest.
“Families who had to walk two to five kilometres each day to get clean water are now having to walk twice or three times that distance.”
