The Tigray interim administration said it was in discussion with the Federal Government of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to resume public services in the Raya woredas. Southern Tigray zone’s chief administrator Haftu Kiros told Wazema that former public servants were returning to work. He, however, denied reports of the displacement of residents adding that civil servants in the now-disbanded local administrations, might have evacuated from the areas. Residents also told Tigray Herald that most government offices in Raya remained closed and movement was restricted.
