Federal Officials Extend Support to Tigrai as they visit capital Mekelle
Ministers and top officials from various federal agencies have touched down in Mekelle for an official visit.
During their arrival, the officials brought 11 vehicles loaded with clothing donations for the drought-affected population of Tigrai.
Head of the Finance and Revenue Collection Bureau of the Tigrai Interim Administration Mihret Beyene(PhD), stated the humanitarian gesture.
Mihret explained that the aid would be swiftly distributed to those in need. She highlighted on how the combination of conflict and starvation has created a dire situation, underscoring the urgent need for further humanitarian intervention.
The ministers are scheduled to engage in discussions with Tigrai Interim Administration President Getachew Reda and pay visits to IDP shelters as part of their itinerary.
Minister of Women and Social Affairs Ministry, Ergogie Tesfaye (PhD), Minister of Revenue Aynalem Niguse , and Commissioner of the Customs Commission Debela Keleta are among the visitors landed in Mekelle this morning.
