Vacancy Announcement by Unity for Development of Raya (UDR)
Background information:
Unity for Development of Raya (UDR) is a local civil society organization established in 2012 E.C/2019 G.C with a mission to contribute for the overall social and economic development of the people of Raya, particularly in the Southern Zone of Tigray, Ethiopia. UDR has been involved in many development and emergency response projects during its years of operation. Presently, it aspires to initiate and implement several crises responses and development endeavors.

Terms of Employment: One year with the possibility of extension based on performance
Place of Work: Maichew
Salary: Negotiation
Description of Duties:
• Organizes, facilitates, manages the overall activities of UDR
• Communicates with different bilateral organization, international donors, UN organizations, indigenous networking, etc…, in order to familiarize represent and enhance the role of UDR in the development endeavors in the Southern zone of Tigray.
• Actively communicates and works with partners and stakeholders including local decision makers
• Rise funding to help the work
• Guides and supports experts under him/her in the preparation of standard proposals
• Represent UDR in all affairs
Requirements:
• Proven working experience in project management
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Applicants with strong basic and application of computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
• Applicants with strong experiences related to emergency and development projects
• A bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in project management at membership based organizations or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
